Australian Retro MTB Championship Bike Specs …….

Eligible bikes …….
(1) Cannot have any form of disc brake … only rim braking systems such as Vee Brake , Canti , Roller Cam or hydraulic rim systems are allowed.
(2) Cannot have any carbon parts or fittings (stems, seatpost etc) …. apart from the frame which must be a pre 1994 carbon frame (eg Giant CFM-1) or (eg Apollo Bonded)
(3) Cannot have air suspension forks …..only sprung or elastomer forks.
(4) Cannot have any more than 80mm of suspension travel.
(5) Cannot have any form of rear suspension.
(6) Cannot have any style of suspension stem or suspension seatpost.
(7) Cannot have any rim size other than 26″
(8) Must have square taper cranksets with triple chain rings.
(9) Must have a 6, 7 or 8 speed rear cluster.
